Fullbay Is Raising Our Price. What Should a Small Truck Shop Switch To?
Before leaving Fullbay over price, check your user mix and contract date. Then compare ShopView, Easy Truck Shop, Wrenchpod, Mitchell 1, and WrenchPilot.

Start by pricing your real user mix, because a price increase does not always mean you should switch. If the numbers still do not work, a small shop usually has four heavy-duty options to compare: ShopView, Easy Truck Shop, Wrenchpod, and WrenchPilot. Mitchell 1 Manager SE Truck Edition is worth adding if you want its repair information alongside shop management.
What should we check before we leave Fullbay?
- Find your renewal date. Fullbay lists all plans on an annual agreement with monthly billing, so your date decides when a switch is practical.
- Count full users and technicians separately. Fullbay lists timesheet users at $25 each, which can cost far less than a full user at $89 to $119.
- Check your plan. Dropping a tier may solve the problem if you do not use what the higher tier adds.
- Add up the switching cost, including invoice history and staff training time.
What does Fullbay cost compared with flat pricing?
These figures use published list prices as of November 1, 2026. Your quote, add-ons, and contract can differ.
| Team | Fullbay Basic | Wrenchpod Shop Plan | WrenchPilot Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 people, all full users | $544/month | $249/month | $300/month |
| 5 people: 1 full user, 4 timesheet users | $288/month | $249/month | $300/month |
| 10 people, all full users | $989/month | $249/month | $300/month |
Fullbay Basic is $188 per month with one full user, plus $89 per additional full user. Wrenchpod advertises unlimited users on its $249 Shop Plan. WrenchPilot Pro includes up to 10 technicians; shops above 10 should ask for a quote. So WrenchPilot is not the cheapest option in every row, and a Fullbay shop with mostly timesheet users may pay about the same as it would on WrenchPilot.
Which alternative fits which shop?
- ShopView: heavy-duty focus. Pricing is by request, so get a written quote for your roster.
- Easy Truck Shop: compare its per-location and per-user pricing against your real login count.
- Wrenchpod: lowest flat list price in this comparison. Check its accounting and reporting against your needs.
- Mitchell 1 Manager SE Truck Edition: consider it if you want integrated repair information.
- WrenchPilot: published flat pricing, month to month with no contract, technician time tied to the repair order, and QuickBooks Online or Desktop sync.
What would we give up by moving to WrenchPilot?
Fullbay has been in the market longer and has a larger review history. Test these items if they matter to you: WrenchPilot does not currently carry declined repairs into a later service order automatically, does not integrate with Motive for shop mileage updates, and uses one parts matrix structure by price range rather than selecting a matrix per line. A total maintenance spend report by unit is a custom report request.
When should we stay on Fullbay?
Stay if your staff already know it well, your real cost is close to the alternatives, or you rely on a workflow another system cannot show you working in a demo. Switching for a small monthly saving rarely pays for the disruption.

What else do shop owners ask?
- Is WrenchPilot always cheaper than Fullbay?
- No. It depends on how many full users you need. One full user on Fullbay Basic is $188 per month, and WrenchPilot Lite is $100 per month for a solo mechanic, but a shop with mostly timesheet users can pay about the same on either.
- Can we leave Fullbay mid-contract?
- Read your agreement. Fullbay lists its plans as annual agreements, and only your contract states your exit terms.
