How WrenchPilot verifies repair shops
Transparency for drivers, fleets, and shop owners evaluating whether a listing is trustworthy enough to call during a breakdown.
Directory information updated August 2026
How listings are sourced
Directory documents combine discovered place data, claimed shop profiles, and shops that run WrenchPilot. Not every map pin is an equal signal — claimed and software-connected shops generally carry stronger operational evidence.
What “verified” means here
Verification reflects ownership claim, contactability, and data quality checks — not a paid ranking boost. Shops cannot purchase a verification badge or an unlabeled #1 organic position.
Hours and “last confirmed”
When available, operating hours are pulled from Google Business data and shown on the shop page. Profiles also expose when directory data was last refreshed so you can judge freshness.
Claims, disputes, and false listings
Owners claim listings through the claim flow. Support requests handle disputes and removals. Report incorrect phones, closed businesses, or impersonation so the graph stays accurate.
Frequently asked questions
- Can a shop buy verification?
- No. Verification is not a paid product. Paid placement is labeled and capped separately under ranking rules.
- How often are profiles reviewed?
- Claimed and connected shops update as owners change data; discovered listings refresh as place data and crawl jobs run. Always check the shop page’s last-updated signals.
