Qualify before score
Results must match the search geography and service intent before ranking weights apply. A tire-only shop should not win an engine-derate query just because it is nearby.
Signals we use
Proximity and drive feasibility, service and roadside capability match, answer/response behavior, review reputation with statistical care, trust and claim status, and whether the shop is WrenchPilot-connected for structured intake.
- Proximity — not pure straight-line miles
- Service match — including mobile / road call when relevant
- Responsiveness — recent answer behavior when available
- Reputation — blended ratings with review volume context
- Trust — claim / verification quality, not paid badges
What payment can and cannot do
Paid tiers may receive bounded, labeled placement preference. They cannot buy unlabeled organic #1, verification badges, or altered star ratings. Urgent road-call and towing searches keep extra protections against ad stuffing.
